As a destination wedding photographer, I’m able to photograph stories in some of the most beautiful locations. A wedding at the Birmingham Museum of Art (@bhammuseum) in Birmingham Alabama was no exception. Alex and Destiny’s wedding added to the awe of the venue where each moment was a piece of art of its own. Let me take you on a journey, where film and digital images blend to encapsulate the magic of their special day.

The Night Before

The weekend began with the warm glow of the rehearsal dinner at EastWest. Friends and family gathered to share this special night with A + D. Alex, from France, met Destiny in college, igniting a flame that burned brighter with every passing moment. From far and wide, friends and family gathered to experience this night with A + D. They shared the last few hours before their big day surrounded by the people who mattered most to them.

THE DAY OF

From the meticulous planning by Events by Jackie (@eventsbyjackie) to the absolutely stunning florals by RD Designs (@rddesignsalabama), every detail spoke of thoughtful curation and heartfelt intention. The Birmingham Museum of Art stood as a majestic backdrop, witnessing the day, timeless as art itself.

As I captured each frame, the editorial style of the couple’s portraits reflected their unique journey. The blend of elegance and authenticity echoed their love story. With a mix of film and digital frames, the color and detail were captured beautifully. A + D will be able to look at the photos and feel as though they are back in the same spot.

THE VENDORS

I was honored to be among the artists involved in this weekend. Together with videography – Votive Studios (@votivestudios), we created both still and moving memories that will live on forever. Glow (@theglowapp) moved effortlessly with hair and makeup, adding to the sophistication of the day. Happy Catering Company (@happycateringco) provided culinary delights that mirrored the couple’s vibrant spirit.

At the reception, Platinum Entertainment (@platinumentnow) set the rhythm of the night, while Design Productions (@designproductions) lit the venue with hues of enchantment. Ivory and White Boutique (@ivoryandwhiteboutique) dressed Destiny in ethereal elegance, while Mr. Burch Formal Wear (@mrburchfw) made Alex look and feel timeless.

As the day melted into night and stars adorned the sky, the reception pulsed with energy, a celebration of love’s triumph over time and distance. Laughter intertwined with tears, and dreams took flight on the wings of hope.
